The MAC was born in 1997 in the hearts and minds of two long-time friends, Brenda Smith and Donna Smith, from their common love of collecting art. Merging respective backgrounds in business and the visual arts, they opened Mainstreet Art Co. in a century-old storefront in historic Alpharetta, a northern Atlanta suburb.

We believe excellent art and design should be within reach of art lovers everywhere. We search the United States and beyond to find artists who are up and comers on the cutting edge of their crafts, yet still affordable.

We then put together a retail mix of one of a kind, signed pieces and lower cost production items that are beautifully designed to look like originals.

This diverse collection gives our customer the opportunity to spend $20 or $2000 to buy that perfect gift or an extraordinary piece of art.
